The company of saints establish peace and harmony in the society and the young generation must inculcate in themselves the teachings of the hermits and saints which propagated the message and meaning of of Indian culture. It is with the excellent knowledge, wisdom and love of the Indian culture that Indian can again emerge as \u201cVishwa Guru\u201d (World Mentor). The ideals and teachings of great sages must be combined with advances in science, technology and new innovation that could lead to the welfare of the human race swiftly,\u201d these were the words of Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj of Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib, the famous historical spiritual centre of Dehradun valley while addressing \u00a0\u2018Sant Samagam\u2019 as a chief guest organized at Shri Gurumandal Ashram, Devipura, Haridwar.<\/p>\n
The programme was attended by saints and sadhus of various Akharas. It was this occasion that \u2018Mahamandeleshwar\u2019 of \u2018Shri Gurumandal Ashram\u2019, Mahant Bhagwat Swaroop Ji Maharaj publicly declared Mahant Shiv Swaroop Ji Maharaj as his successor. The hermits who attended this programme also enthusiastically participated in \u2018Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra\u2019.<\/p>\n
The programme was marked by the auspicious presence of Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib\u2019s \u00a0Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj \u00a0who congratulated the new successor of the ashram \u00a0Mahant Vishwa Swaroop Ji Maharaj.<\/p>\n
Mahant Vishwa Swaroop Ji Maharaj in his address at the gathering praised the remarkable contribution of Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib and institutions of Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission in imparting quality education and healthcare in Uttarakhand. He said that it\u2019s a matter of pride for the society of sadhus and saints that the first medical college of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is Shri Guru Ram Rai Medical College.<\/p>\n
He said that Shri Guru Ram Rai Medical College, Shri Guru Ram Rai University is the biggest chain of public schools in Uttarakhand being run by Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib. He also remembered the charismatic personality of Parampujya Gurudev Brahnleen Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj who is the Guru of i Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj.<\/p>\n
