National Security Strategies Conference 2022 conclude with emphasis on use of 5G technologies in strengthening internal security<\/p>\n

National Security Strategies Conference 2022 which concluded in New Delhi on August 18, 2022 deliberated the existing and emerging security challenges facing the country. \u00a0Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the various initiatives envisioned by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards strengthening the security apparatus of the country. The conference was attended by Ajay Kumar Mishra and Nishith Pramanik, both Ministers of State for Home Heads of Central Agencies, CAPFs, CPOs and DGsP of all States. Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar also attended the conference.<\/p>\n
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that all States should give top priority to the issues related to the national security and instructed them to keep a close watch on the demographic changes occurring in the bordering areas. \u00a0He maintained that it is the responsibility of the DGsP to ensure that all information of technological and strategic importance was percolated down the line, particularly in the bordering districts.<\/p>\n
On the internal security front, the Union Home Minister claimed success in containing three perennial problems, terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir, various UG groups in North-East and Left Wing Extremism.\u00a0 He further said that the union government \u00a0have enacted new laws, improved coordination with States, enhanced budgetary allocation and ensured maximum use of technology.<\/p>\n
He further claimed that for the first time the country had developed a system in the form of National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS), and it must percolate down the line. \u201c The seizure of the consignment is not enough. We must strive to annihilate the entire drug-network and to reach its source and destination is important. We must hold a detailed analysis of good cases investigated by the States,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He further said that for the first time in the country, work had been initiated on several front with scientific approach and security apparatus must utilise 5G technology to strengthen the security apparatus. \u201cThe fundamental principle of modern intelligence should not be \u2018need to know\u2019 but it should be \u2018need to share\u2019 and \u2018duty to share\u2019 because unless we change our approach, we would not be able to attain success. We must focus on technical intelligence along with Human intelligence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The conference deliberated upon the issues of Counter terror and counter radicalisation, challenges of over ground Maoists and front organisations, crypto currency, counter drone technology, watch on cyber and social media, security of Ports and Islands, emerging challenges of 5G technologies, demographic changes and increasing fundamentalism of bordering areas and smuggling of narcotics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
