Graphic Era University to provide free education to children of Joshimath disaster victims<\/p>\n

Graphic Era deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University has taken an initiative to heal the wounds of the disaster victims by announcing to provide free education in engineering, management and other professional courses to the children of disaster affected families.<\/p>\n
Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chairman, Graphic Era group of Institutions said that it is\u00a0 step towards providing succour to the victim families\u00a0 and help in \u00a0improving the future of the children of disaster affected families of Joshimath.<\/p>\n
Making the announcement on Sunday he further said \u00a0that entire education will be free for the victims of Joshimath. From the first semester of the course in which they will be given admission till they get their degree, no fee will be charged from such students .<\/p>\n
Dr. Ghanshala said that along with Dehradun campuses of Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University, this facility will also be given to the children of Joshimath in Bhimtal and Haldwani campuses. It has been decided to give admission to such students in all courses including Engineering, Management, Computer Application, Biotech, Hotel Management, Agriculture, Media, Animal, Fashion, Law, Pharmacy and BPT.\u00a0He announced to reserve 100 seats for Joshimath victims in all the three campuses of Graphic Era in Dehradun, Bhimtal and Haldwani.<\/p>\n
Vice-Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University, Dr. Narpinder Singh said that after completion of the education, Graphic Era will help these children to get job placements in the best companies of the country and abroad.\u00a0However ,for admission to any course, it will be necessary to fulfill its eligibility conditions.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that after February 2021 disaster at Raini (Joshimath) in Chamoli district, Graphic Era University had constructed a house for a victim family.\u00a0 In June, 2022, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over the keys of the new house to the victim Soni Devi.<\/p>\n
Earlier in Kedarnath disaster and Uttarkashi disaster too, Graphic Era University had provided help to such remote villages where no one had reached.\u00a0Graphic Era University has also made arrangements for free education for the families of the martyrs.\u00a0 Graphic Era, prepares youth as skilled professionals for the country and the world. The Deemed University has stood for the third time in a row amongst the top 100 universities of the country by the central government and the placement of a student on an annual package of more than Rs 84 lakhs and new scientific discoveries by the students and alumni has added to it\u2019s achievements.
