Graphic Era University echoed with the tunes of Pandit Vyas\u2019s Santoor<\/p>\n

Famous Santoor player \u2018Padm Shri\u2019 \u00a0Pandit Satish Vyas added the sweetness of classical music at a concert at the Silver Jubilee Convention Center of Graphic Era University,today.<\/p>\n
He started the program by playing \u2018Shudh Raga\u2019 on santoor. He was ably supported by tabla player Amit Kavthekar. The tuning of\u00a0 both the artistes enthralled the audience and garnered a lot of applause. On this occasion, Pandit Vyas said that santoor that was known as \u2018Yathatantra Veena\u2019 in the ancient times has evolved from the picturesque valleys of Kashmir and has become an integral part of Hindustani Classical music. He briefly explained the importance of Santoor in classical music, the 100 string musical instrument.<\/p>\n
The program was organised by Graphic Era University in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY, an organisation dedicated to classical music and dance forms.
