All preparations have been completed to welcome the first ever batch of \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 pilgrims, when the first batch of 274 pilgrims would reach Khatima railway station on April 24. The \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 tour package is being managed by Uttarakhand tourism department in collaboration with IRCTC of railways.<\/p>\n
“The first-ever batch of \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 pilgrims, who are reaching here in a special train named, \u2018Manaskhand Express\u2019, will be welcomed by Uttarakhand tourist department officers at Khatima railway station near Tanakpur,” said Arvind Gaur, District Tourist Officer, Champawat.\u00a0The first batch of pilgrims to \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 temples of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand \u00a0was flagged off from Pune with fanfare on April 22.<\/p>\n
“The 6 nights 7 days first ever \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 tourism package will take the pilgrims to Khatima, Tanakpur and Purnagiri on the first day, to temples of Champawat and Lohaghat on the second day, to Hat Kalika and Patal Bhubaneswar on 3rd day, Chaukori Jageswar and Chitai in Almora on 4th day, Kasar Devi Katarmal and Kainchi temples on 5th day, Nainital on 6th day and Nanakmatta on 7th day,” said the Champawat District Tourism Officer .<\/p>\n
It will be a total 700 km long pilgrimage to selected \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 temples and religious places covering\u00a0 6 nights and 7 days .” The tour will cover religious places situated in Champawat, Pithoragarh, Almora, Nainital and US Nagar districts described in \u2018Manaskhand\u2019 of \u2018Skand Puran\u2019,” said Champawat DTO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
