Former Advisor and Head at Department of Science and Technology, Government of India Dr. S. K. Varshney has said that researchers should be like a flowing river and should keep moving forward while taking in new ideas and knowledge. Dr. S. K. Varshney was giving a lecture at Graphic Era Hill University, here today.<\/p>\n
In his address to the researchers on the topic \u2018Importance of Research & Funding\u2019, he said that research has revolutionized lifestyle, food habits, finance and many more fields positively. This has resulted in better standard of living and emphasised that \u00a0research works should \u00a0also be helpful in fighting natural calamities.<\/p>\n
The program was organised by the School of Agriculture of the university. Pro- Vice Chancellor Prof. R. Gowri, Associate Dean Research Dr. Krishna Kant, HODs and faculty members from various departments were present in the program.\u00a0\u00a0The program was convened by Dr. Pallavi Joshi.<\/p>\n
