Three road bypasses to China border road soon to facilitate armed forces<\/p>\n

To facilitate the movement of armed forces to the Indo-China border in the middle sector, three road bypasses will be constructed on the all weather road from Tanakpur to Pithoragarh soon as per newly appointed Union Minister of State for Road Transport Ajay Tamta.<\/p>\n
Addressing a press conference in Pithoragarh town today, the minister said that out of these bypasses, two will be constructed in Champawat district while the third bypass will be constructed in Pithoragarh district portion of the all weather road.<\/p>\n
“The 9.8 km long Mudiyani to Tilon bypass in Champawat district will be the first while\u00a0 6.4 km long Devrari Pant to Patanjali Patni bypass on the road will be second bypass on the road, while the first bypass is at its\u2019 final stage of sanctioning and drone survey has started for the second bypass,” said the Minister.<\/p>\n
According to the Union Road Transport Minister, the third and longest 14 km long\u00a0 bypass on the road will be constructed from Aincholi to Satsiling\u00a0 in Pithoragarh district portion of the road.<\/p>\n
According to Tamta, other roads in the border region are also being strengthened, while construction work of two laned 77.10 km long Panwar to Almora road is on, the DPR is being made for construction of 2 lane road\u00a0 from Almora- Takula, Bageswar Udiyari bend and Ghat (pithoragarh).” In order to give more strength and continuity to border roads, we have also decided to construct a bridge at landslide sensitive zone at Swala in Champawat and improve quality of road between Darchula to Jolingkong at Indo-China border,” said Tamta.<\/p>\n
