Graphic Era University students celebrate fellow student Lakshya Sen\u2019s win in Paris Olympics<\/p>\n

Dehradun, July 31<\/p>\n

The students of Graphic Era University where the Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen is a student were ecstatic after his victory in a match in Paris Olympics. Lakshya Sen beat world no. 3 shuttler Jonathan Christie, as the entire students of the university watched and appreciated his every move on the court with joy and great enthusiasm \u00a0on a large screen in the university campus. Lakshya Sen, a hopeful of a gold medal in badminton for the country is a student of MBA in Graphic Era University, here.<\/p>\n

A large screen was set up in Graphic Era Deemed University\u2019s B.Tech auditorium to watch live broadcast of the \u00a0Lakshya Sen\u2019s Olympic match. The students of various courses filled up the auditorium even before the match started. During the match, with every shot of Lakshya Sen loud claps and cheers were raised. Thousands of students watched Lakshya Sen\u2019s match with great attention and hopes. The students were on the edge of their seats with every ups and downs of the match.<\/p>\n

Whole auditorium burst into wild celebrations as soon as Lakshya Sen beat Indonesian world\u2019s no. 3 shutler Jonathan Kristy consecutively in the two sets and secured his place in the top 16. Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions Dr. Kamal Ghanshala watched his dear student Lakshya Sen\u2019s match in Graphic Era Hill University and expressed his confidence that Lakshya Sen would definitely win a gold medal. Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh and many faculty members watched live telecast of the match.<\/p>\n

This year in Paris Olympics, Graphic Era\u2019s MBA Student Lakshya Sen along with MBA student Ankita Dhyani, BBA student Suraj Panwar and BBA student Paramjeet Singh Bisht are representing the country in athletics. MBA student Manoj Sarkar will also play for the country in Para Olympics. Graphic Era is the only University in Uttarakhand, whose five students will compete in the ongoing Olympics. Graphic Era\u2019s former student Arun Singh is joining the Olympic games as a member of technical support team.<\/p>\n
