In this proposed eight day long adventure event, starting from Pithoragarh, the trekkers will cross 31 km long track at more than 18000 feet high region starting from Jolingkong on Vyans valley to Panchachuli base in Darma valley.<\/p>\n
” The tourists will be able to view, high altitude situated Darma valley villages, last border village at Indo-China border in Darma valley, Bedang and\u00a0 oldest trade mart of Indo-Tibet traders of Darma valley at\u00a0Khimling village, while passing through Gauri kund, Parwati Kund, and Panchachuli base,” said the DTO.<\/p>\n
“The state government has announced a sum of Rs 2000 per trekker of the group to be given as an incentive for the success of the event. We have started the process to invite tour operators for the event,” said the DTO.<\/p>\n
According to Jayendra Phirmal, president of Darma Valley Home Stay Association, the first attempt to open Sinla pass for trekkers was done in the year 2021, by four\u00a0 mountaineers, including Everest winner Sheetal Raj, successfully.”It is rare track that links two significant high Himalayan valleys of Darma and Vyans and if projected properly, it could increase significant tourist flow in both valleys making the dream of Prime Minister Modi of making the region as a major tourist attraction a big success. Modi had visited the region in October 2023,” said Jayendra Phirmal.<\/p>\n
