Graphic Era’s ‘Walk For Heart’ held on World Heart Day<\/p>\n

Hundreds of people carrying the message of heart’s safety alongside doctors, professors, officials and teachers participated in the walkathon named ‘Walk For Heart’ organised by the Graphic Era, on the occasion of \u2018World Heart Day,\u2019 today. The \u201cWalk for Heart\u2019 was organized this morning starting from Parade Ground which passed through Ashley Hall, Rajpur Road, Eucalyptus Road and Survey Chowk before returning to Parade Ground. The people were made aware about the health of their heart.<\/p>\n
Director of Graphic Era Hospital’s Cardiology Department Dr. Akhilesh Pandey emphasized on staying happy and walking daily for good health of the heart. He said that smilling and staying cheerful can help us in avoiding stress. \u201cWhen one stays happy, the heart also stays happy,\u201d he added. HoD of Cardiology Department Dr. Raj Pratap Singh said that yoga and physical activities are important for a healthy heart. On this occasion, Medical Director of Graphic Era Hospital Dr. Punit Tyagi highlighted on the importance of avoiding smoking for maintaining the health of heart and lungs<\/p>\n
In the \u2018Walk for Heart\u2019, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Medical Superintendent of Graphic Era Medical Hospital Dr. Amit Varma, Dr. Girish Gupta, Dr. Anupam Agrawal, Cardiology Department’s Dr. Himanshu Rana, Dr. Pulkit, Dr. S. P. Singh, DGM Operations Neha Gupta, other officials and employees participated.<\/p>\n
In this Walkathon of around three kilometres, social workers of Civil Defence, Dehradun and people connected with other organisation also participated. On this occasion, special zumba session and warm up session was also organized.
