Pithoragarh, Oct 3<\/p>\nThe first batch of pilgrims having Darshan of Kailash peak in Tibet from Lipulekh pass on Indo-China border in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
A batch of five \u00a0pilgrims today became the first batch of pilgrims to have watched Kailash peak from Indian territory of Old Lipulekh pass. The batch was taken there by Uttarakhand tourists department under a pilot project to run the \u2018Kailash View\u2019 programme regularly in future.”All the five pilgrims were highly excited and were in tears when they viewed the sacred Kailash peaks from the point made at old Lipulekh pass for the purpose,” said Kriti Chandra Arya, Pithoragarh District Tourist Officer who accompanied the batch to the top of the point.<\/p>\nKailash peak in Tibet as visible from Lipulekh pass on Indo-China border on October 3, 2024.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The five \u00a0pilgrims, who became first to view Kailash peaks from Indian territory included, Neeraj and Mohini from Bhopal, Amandeep Kumar Jindal from Chandigarh, Kewal Krishan and Narendra Kumar from Sri Ganganagar Rajasthan.”All the pilgrims enjoyed the trip with intense devotion and watched the Kailash peak as the weather opened up and the peak in Tibet was clearly visible,” said tourist officer.<\/p>\n
