The book <\/em>written by Padma Shri awardee\u00a0 and famous Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. B.K.S. Sanjay and his illustrious son who is also an Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Gaurav Sanjay titled \u2018From the Pen<\/em> of Surgeons\u2019 was released by Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former Union Education Minister and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal \u201cNishank\u201d and Union Minister of State for Road Transport and National Highways \u00a0Ajay Tamta at India\u2019s first Writer\u2019s village, here today.<\/p>\n Other special guests present on the occasion were Swami Chidananda Saraswati, Director Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, \u00a0Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri, \u00a0Santosh Taneja, Chairman, Sankalp Foundation, Santosh Chaubey, Chancellor, Tagore University and other national international literary dignitaries.<\/p>\n The authors-father and son duo- are both world fame renowned orthopaedic surgeons and they emphasised in the book that food, education and health are the basic needs of every person. The book covers various health, education, nutrition and other social issues prevailing in India and the need of the general public to be e aware of their importance. The authors of the book believe that there is need to change the mindset of general public towards these issues and for a positive \u00a0change in the society. Books play an important role in changing knowledge and thoughts and the authors hope that the book will also play an important in doing so.<\/p>\n The preface of this book has been written by the former Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy and historian Dr. Sanjeev Chopra, a retired IAS officer and the foreword message has been written by the Secretary General of Rajya Sabha \u00a0P.C.
