Experts are of the opinion that data security would be a major challenge in the coming times. For this, students need to learn new skills and do research in these areas.<\/p>\n
On the last day of the International Conference on Cyber Nation and Computation at Graphic Era Hill University. Ashok Kumar, Director of Software Technology Parks of India, addressing as the chief guest in the\u00a0 valedictory session of the conference raised these concerns.<\/p>\n
He said that the Central Government has taken many new steps in the technical sector, these include many missions like Semiconductor Mission, AI Mission, Quantum Mission so that the youth can be better connected with innovation. Ashok Kumar said that the coming time is for smart technology and AI. For this, it is important that students are taught about it.<\/p>\n
He called upon the students to do their research in related fields. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Bhardwaj, scientist of Defence\u00a0 Research and Development Organization, gave information about Terahertz to the students. He said that Terahertz is a new communication system, it works on Terahertz frequency with the help of which faster data transfer can be done. Describing Terahertz\u00a0 as useful for defence and security, he said that it can be used in airports. Its scanning power can detect any device hidden inside the luggage. Besides, it can also be used to identify any type of chemical hazards.<\/p>\n
Sergey Bezzateev\u00a0from Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics University, Russia told the students about cryptography. He said that it is a technique of obfuscating or coding the data so that it can be read only by the person who has the knowledge or who has the key to break the code. He also talked about end to end encrypted. Dr. Nur Izura\u00a0 udzir\u00a0 from Putra University, Malaysia highlighted the technologies related to cyber security. She said that nowadays the most important thing is data. To save it, it is necessary to work on new applications. She also gave information on biometric security and cryptographic techniques. Dr. Manish Gupta of Sunshine Coast, Adelaide, Australia gave information about fake images spreading on social media. He said that fake images keep appearing on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter every day. For this, it is necessary to promote new technology and AI tools. With the help of which fake images can be identified. He also gave information about its methods. Dr. Manoj Kumar of Wollongong University, Dubai explained about Penetration test in detail to the students. He said that this process is usually done to identify target systems and a particular target. Dr. Devendra Arora from Purdue University, US shared tips to avoid cyber threats with the students.<\/p>\n
Along with this, in the international conference, students were also honored with Young Innovators Awards for writing better research papers and obtaining patents. These include Vihaan Singh Bhakuni, Gaurav Kholia, Khushi Sharma, Daksh Rawat, Praveen Daundiyal\u2019s name is included. 40 research papers were read in the international conference today.<\/p>\n
The international conference was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Dean (Research and Development) Dr. Vrins Vimal, HOD Dr. Divyansh Bordloi, coordinators Dr. Vikrant Sharma and Dr. Satvik Vats, teachers and students were present in the conference.<\/p>\n
