Two-day training program on Grid Connected Roof Top Solar System under “PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme” organised by UPCL<\/p>\n

Dehradun , Nov 27<\/p>\n

A two-day training programme on \u2018Grid Connected Roof Top Solar System\u2019 under “PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme” \u00a0for Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) officers by National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Government of India \u00a0concluded at \u00a0UPCL Headquarters, here today.<\/p>\n

This training was organized with an aim to \u00a0make UPCL employees fully aware about \u2018Grid Connected Roof Top Solar System\u2019 under “PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme” which was organized under the aegis of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India in collaboration with NPTI. The training program was attended by about 40 field staff and engineers of UPCL, who are responsible for the implementation of this scheme in the state. The training programme started with a welcome address and exchange of courtesy by the representatives of NPTI namely S.N. Pandey, Deputy Director and \u00a0Vijay Ratan. The inaugural address was delivered by the Executive Director (HR) Dr. R.J. Malik in the presence of Chief Engineer Nodal Officer, Solar Cell Ashish Arora.<\/p>\n

Ashish Arora emphasised on the Standard Operating procedure (SOP of UPCL for \u201cPM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme\u201d and informed that under the guidance and able leadership of \u00a0Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami , UPCL has currently installed a total of 8962 solar roof top plants of about 32 MW capacity on the homes of domestic category consumers across the state.<\/p>\n

He further said that consumers are getting more and more benefits by joining the scheme, in which till date, those who have installed solar roof top plants have also received subsidy of about Rs 73 crore. Solar energy experts from various organizations\/departments shared the basic understanding of the project, its approach towards implementation and commissioning during the training programme.<\/p>\n

The UPCL officials thanked the NPTI for providing training and motivated and encouraged all the participants to share the knowledge gained in this training program with their colleagues in the field. UPCL has set a target of installing more than 40 thousand solar roof top plants for domestic category consumers across the state.
