Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today virtually\u00a0inaugurated the traditional fair of \u2018Mostamanu\u2019, held in Chandak hill on \u2018Panchami\u2019 day of Hindu calendar month of \u2018Bhadrapad\u2019 every year. Inaugurating the fair, Dhaami said that the \u2018Mostamanu\u2019 fair is symbol of rich agriculture and craft tradition of Soor valley of Pithoragarh district.<\/p>\n
” The promotion traditional fair of \u2018Mostamanu\u2019 and others in the state in part of the cultural renaissance being promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has not only\u00a0 initiated construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya\u00a0 but also initiated construction of Kashi Viswanath corridor, reconstruction at Badrinath and Kedarnath, Mahakal temple and at Aadi Kailash,” said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n
“We are developing all temples of \u2018Manas Khand\u2019 on the line of \u2018Kedarkhand\u2019 temple to promote cultural renaissance in the state. The state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 1, crore for development of \u2018Mostamanu\u2019 temple, and Rs 6 crore for temples of \u2018Hat Kalika\u2019 in Gangolihat and \u2018Pashupatinath\u2019 temple in Pithoragarh,” Dhami said.<\/p>\n
Citing developmental schemes in Pithoragarh the chief minister said that a total of Rs 1200 crore worth developmental schemes have been sanctioned for the district including Rs 750 crore for Pithoragarh medical college, Rs. 327 crore for PMGSY roads and Rs 450 crore to extend the Naini- Saini airport. “After the extension, the airport at Pithoragarh will be able to land 72 seater planes,” claimed the Chief Minister. He said that a DPR of Rs 4800 crore has been prepared to construct rail line from Tanakpur to Bageshwar.<\/p>\n
Citing achievements of his government, the Chief Minister said that his government is not only taking decisions in the interest of economy of state but also to protect interests of the state. ” We have passed Uniform Civil Code, anti-copying \u00a0law in the interest of the state while to protect the cultural values of state we have introduced, anti-conversion law, anti-rioting law, and freed land worth 7500 acres by implementing\u00a0strict action against \u2018land jihad\u2019 and closed a total of 250 illegal \u2018Madrassas\u2019, scrapped Madrassa Board besides demolishing 500 illegal \u2018Mazars\u2019 to protect culture of the state,” further claimed the Chief minister.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister conveyed the message of Prime Minister of using \u2018Swadeshi\u2019 and purchase goods produced by local craftsmen in the fair.” Our beloved and great Prime Minister has pledged to make India a great manufacturing hub by producing from a nib of a fountain pen to space crafts in the country. We all must follow him to make India self- reliant and a strong India,” said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n
