The flow of pilgrims continued to pour in to have \u2018darshan\u2019 of \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019 mountain (14500 feet), despite freezing cold which has resulted in 90 percent part of \u2018Parwati Kund\u2019 frozen.<\/p>\n
“The process of issuing of inner line permits to visit \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019, will be ceased only after heavy snowfall begins in that region. We have issued over 30 inner line passes in last two days making the total number of pilgrims to 36461 this season who visited \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019, “said Jitendra Singh, SDM of Dharchula.<\/p>\n
According to villagers of Rongkong and Kuti, situated near the \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019, the water of both of lakes, \u2018Gauri kund\u2019 and \u2018Parwati kund\u2019 has freezed. ” While the day temperature is not exceeding 7 degree celsius during dawn to dusk, the night temperature of \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019 region is down to 5 to 10 degree below zero deggress celsius during night time, “said\u00a0 Nagendra Singh Kutiyal, Gram pradhan of Kuti village.<\/p>\n
“It seems the winter has come early in this part of Himalayan, as the lakes used to freeze generally from the mid of December,” said the Gram pradhan.<\/p>\n
“The temple of Shiva – Parwati, situated at \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019 is already\u00a0 closed on\u00a0 November 5, for winter this year,” said Gram pradhan of Kuti.<\/p>\n
“Most of the home stay owners and mule, horse owners have returned to lower valleys, only a few home stay owners are staying there to cater to the visiting pilgrims,” said SDM.<\/p>\n

Another Indian saint, Swami Vikash Giri, who visited Kailash Mansarowar in the year 1999, writes in his book, ‘Sumeru Parwat’ that from December mid the Mansarowar lake started freezing from middle part of it.<\/p>\n
