Rajya Sabha Member, Dr. Naresh Bansal said that Artificial Intelligence is an extremely powerful technology, and it is essential that humans keep it under their control and use it for the welfare of humanity and society, rather than becoming controlled by it.<\/p>\n
He was addressing the closing ceremony of the international conference \u2018Alive\u2019 at Graphic Era Hill University today. Dr. Bansal said that AI is currently a major topic of discussion worldwide. He described AI as a highly important technology, especially for the youth, as it has the potential to shape their future. He also expressed concern about the misuse of AI, stating that its wrong use in areas such as cybercrime is emerging as a serious challenge. Therefore, he emphasized that AI should be used with ethical values and responsibility so that it contributes to social development and human welfare, rather than causing harm.<\/p>\n
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Amit R. Bhatt said that real progress is the one that focuses on the welfare of society and humanity, helping to make lives better, safer, and more prosperous. UCOST scientist Dr. Piyush Goyal said that AI is rapidly transforming the nature of education and research, and therefore, it is important to adopt new technologies and prepare for the future.<\/p>\n
During the two-day international conference, experts presented research papers on topics such as AI-based drug discovery, smart healthcare, digital therapeutics, precision medicine, pharmaceutical innovation, and the use of AI in public health. Experts, scientists, and researchers from India and abroad participated in the conference through both online and offline modes.<\/p>\n
The conference was organized by the School of Pharmacy, Graphic Era Hill University. Dean of Academics Dr. Pramod S. Nair, Registrar Dr. D. K. Joshi, Dean of the School of Pharmacy Dr. Nardev Singh, Organizing Secretary Dr. Indu Singh, along with Dr. Dinesh Puri, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Deepika Raina, faculty members, and students were present. The event was conducted by Dr. Bharti Sharma.<\/p>\n
