A total of 100 teams comprising students from different states across India have come together to find solutions to challenges in areas such as healthcare, education, clean energy, agri-tech, and cybersecurity for the 72-hour continuous hackathon competition being held at Graphic Era University here..<\/p>\n
The 72-hour hackathon, titled \u2018Graph-e-thon 3.0\u2019, began today at Graphic Era Deemed University with the aim of developing real solutions to social, industrial, and environmental problems. All participating students will stay on campus for the entire 72 hours, working on AI-based solutions and developing various software applications.<\/p>\n
In \u2018Graph-e-thon 3.0\u2019, 100 teams from universities and institutions across 23 states are participating. The team from Graphic Era Deemed University is working on an AI-based lab assistant. A team from Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Mumbai, is developing an AI system for early detection of mental health issues. Chandigarh University\u2019s team is working on a smart irrigation system to address water scarcity in Rajasthan. A team from Vellore Institute of Technology is developing an automated defense drone system, while Graphic Era Hill University\u2019s team is focusing on solutions to locate people trapped under debris during disasters. Teams from various other institutions are also engaged in developing solutions and software for different challenges.<\/p>\n
The event was inaugurated during an opening ceremony by the Chief Guest, Director General, UCOST Dr. Durgesh Pant, along with Graphic Era Deemed University Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh, Graphic Era Hill University Vice Chancellor Dr. Amit R. Bhatt, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Santosh S. Saraf, and Registrar Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, who lit the ceremonial lamp.<\/p>\n
\u2018Graph-e-thon 3.0\u2019 is being jointly organized by the Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University.
