Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that\u00a0his government wants to provide modern education to all and have also decided that the \u2018Madrassas\u2019, that will not introduce syllabus set by education department from this session, will be shut down.<\/p>\n
Inauguration the ‘Kailash Utsav’, organised by local campus of Sobhan Singh Jeena University, Almora, the Chief Minister said that being his birth place he has special affection towards people of Pithoragarh and\u00a0wants all the modern facilities be available in the district.” After the medical college comes up in the district from next year, the health- related facilities could be modernized in the district,” claimed the CM.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering of students in the campus college, he acknowledged the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in popularising the \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019 yatra who wanted that the ancient yatra be developed for the benefit of border people. “The \u2018Adi Kailash\u2019 yatra, that reached at 40000 pilgrims last year will grow more this year,” he hoped.<\/p>\n
During a brief visit to Berinag and Pithoragarh towns today, Chief Minister inaugurated a total of Rs 10492.97 lakh worth developmental schemes and laid foundation stone for of Rs 6027.59 lakh schemes in the district.<\/p>\n
He first reached Berinag to attend some private programmes and then flew to Pithoragarh district headquarter to take part in \u2018Kailash Utsav 2026\u2019, being organised by LSM campus of Sobhan Singh Jeena Almora University.<\/p>\n
He later visited Surendra Singh Waldia sports stadium in Pithoragarh and inspected the newly developed sports infrastructure in the stadium<\/p>\n
