Pithoragarh, June 28 The first batch of indian traders will enter into chinese territory of Tibet likely on July 3, as all the preparations for the border trade have been completed, said Jeewan Singh Rongkali, president of Bharat -cheen seemant vyapar samiti at Dharchula.
“The administration has allocated us a new place named Chang chung nala, some 2 km ahead of Nabhidhang towards Lipulekh pass, where the facility for mules and horses besides resting capacity for their herders is valuable.”said Ronkali.
According to Ronkali, over 25 tribal traders have stored goods worth Rs 6 lakh, mainly sugar candy, jaggery and daily used cosmetic items have stored in godowns at Gunji.”on reaching there we will see what sort of items are required to our customers.”sais Rongkali
The trade officer and SDM of Dharchula has said that all systems have come on sequence till date and it is now with traders when they left for their Tibetan mart.” It is all set for Indo china border trade from Lipulekh pass this year as The viable trade passes have been issued, the place for mules is allocated to the traders according to their demands, with consent of security forces, the custom office and SBI branch have been opened at Gunji.”said Ashish Joshi the designated trade officer.
