Two batches of \u2018Kailash Mansarowar yatra\u2019 from Lipulekh pass 2026 crossed into Tibetan territory of China with help from \u2018Hirak\u2019 project of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) which pressed its\u2019 force and equipment to clear the road ahead of Dharchula towards Gunji and beyond which was frequently hit by landslides. The BRO teams were quick in clearing the road.<\/p>\n
While the first batch on 5th July faced debris at six points of the road, at\u00a0Kulagar, Ailagar and Malghat, the second batch\u00a0faced the debris at Tawaghat and Tamba temple between Tawaghat and Gunji. All the debris was cleared in 2 hours making no delay for the batch to reach Gunji on the same day.<\/p>\n
The BRO officials \u00a0said that the men and machines of 65 and 67 Road Construction Companies (RCC) of BRO remain ready to attend to the road during the \u2018Kailash Mansarowar yatra\u2019 season.<\/p>\n
“Due the work of doubling of road on Tawaghat – Gunji road and widening work on Tawaghat-Sobla road of Darma valley are running at present. The equipment and teams remain near yatra road every time these days,” said Shalu Datal, a local resident of Dharchula town.<\/p>\n
“We demand special treatment be given by BRO at ‘S’ bend, portion of yatra road between Gunji and Malpa which is frequently hit by mud slides and makes the road risky after rains, ” said Datal.<\/p>\n
The \u2018Kailash Mansarowar yatra\u2019 2026 is in progress while first batch is in Kailash region in Tibet, second batch is at Gunji and will reach Nabhidhang tomorrow while the third batch has reached Tanakpur from Delhi today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
