International Conference on Computational Technologies Begins at Graphic Era

The future technologies should be based on the principles of sustainable development and environmental conservation. Experts emphasized that technology becomes truly meaningful only when it is affordable, accessible, and beneficial to every section of society while serving as an effective tool for public welfare.
\nA two days International Conference on Sustainable Computational Technologies \u2018CISCT 2026)\u2019 began today at Graphic Era Deemed University. Addressing the inaugural session, the Chief Guest, Member Secretary of AICTE and UGC and Professor at the University of Delhi, Dr. Shyama Rath said that India’s continuous improvement in the Global Innovation Index reflects the country’s growing innovation driven development. She added that future progress will depend not only on new technologies but also on a strong innovation ecosystem capable of transforming research and innovation into practical solutions for the needs of society and industry.
\nVice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh said that the true significance of technology lies not in its complexity or novelty but in its ability to improve people’s lives. He stressed the need for technologies that are environmentally responsible, address real societal challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the larger public good.
\nDean of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy at IIT Roorkee, Dr. Vivek Kumar Malik said that India should develop indigenous technologies and tools suited to its own requirements rather than relying on global technologies. Professor at IIT kanpur, Dr. Raghvendra Kumar Chaudhary said that computational technologies have accelerated both human progress and technological advancement. He added that the future of technological development will be driven by the effective and innovative use of computational technologies.
\nThe two days international conference will feature 12 technical sessions, during which experts will deliver lectures and present more than 100 research papers. Around 140 participants from nine countries, including the United States, Kazakhstan, Australia, Germany, and Malaysia, are participating in the conference through both online and offline modes.
\nThe conference is being jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering of Graphic Era Deemed to be University in collaboration with the IEEE UP Section and ANRF. Among those present were Dean of Computing and International Affairs Dr. D. R. Gangodkar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Devesh Pratap Singh, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Dr. P. Thakur, conveners Dr. Ankit Vishnoi, Dr. Ankit Bhatt and Dr. Varsha Mittal, Dr. A. S. Shukla, and Dr. Mangeram, along with faculty members and students.
