The High altitude ultra marathon, the 5 to 70 km race in high altitude region of Gunji at a height of 10000 feet, will this year be organised on 24 and 25 October.<\/p>\n
According to Pithoragarh District Magistrate Asish Bhatgai, who briefed the press after taking a meeting of concerned officers on the preparation of the race, all the concerned officers have been instructed to start preparations to arrange lodging boarding and related facilities of road, water electricity for the participants. “We are expecting over 1000 participants for this high altitude adventure this year,” said the DM.<\/p>\n
“The race will be organised in 5 categories, from 5 to 10kms, 21kms, 42kms and 70 km distances. The help of Army, ITBP, BRO and SSB will be taken for the success of grand adventure tourism activity being organised at high Himalayan altitude for the second year in the district,” said the DM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
