The session aimed to create awareness among young students about responsible road behaviour, traffic discipline, and the importance of preventing road traffic injuries.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The session was addressed by renowned orthopaedic and spine surgeon and Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay, President, AIIMS Guwahati, along with Dr. Gaurav Sanjay. Drawing upon their professional experience, the speakers highlighted the serious physical, emotional, social, and economic consequences of road accidents.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay emphasized that road safety is not merely about following traffic rules but is a collective responsibility and a commitment to protecting human life. He urged students to wear helmets and seat belts, avoid overspeeding, distracted driving and mobile phone use while driving, and strictly follow traffic regulations.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He encouraged the students to become \u201cRoad Safety Ambassadors\u201d and carry the message of safe road behaviour to their families, friends, and communities. He stressed that responsible behaviour by every road user can help prevent avoidable deaths, injuries, and disabilities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Gaurav Sanjay interacted with the students and highlighted the importance of discipline, awareness, alertness, and responsible citizenship while using the road. The interactive session provided practical insights and encouraged students to make road safety an integral part of their daily lives.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The programme was an important component of JBIT\u2019s induction and holistic development initiative, aimed at nurturing socially responsible, disciplined, and safety-conscious young professionals.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The management and faculty of JBIT expressed their gratitude to Padma Shri Dr. B.
