Kasniyal<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Pithoragarh, Oct 24<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">More than 1,100 participants from 26 states are taking part in all five events of the second Adi Kailash High Altitude Ultra Marathon, being held in the Adi Kailash region at an altitude of 15,200 feet, Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Pithoragarh, Dr Deepak Saini, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to Saini, more than 750 participants from 12 states had taken part in the inaugural edition of the ultra marathon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">&#8220;It is a highly challenging race, as participants have to run in low temperatures and low-oxygen conditions across zigzagging routes and difficult geographical terrain,&#8221; Saini said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to the organisers, the event gained significant popularity after Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned it in his weekly radio programme, <em>Mann Ki Baat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also boosted the morale of the participants through an online address before the event was flagged off at 6.40 am today,&#8221; the Pithoragarh CDO said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 1,100 participants from 26 states take part in Adi Kailash Ultra Marathon-2 B.D.
