Indo-Russia relationship to guide global economy in future – Prof. Vladimir Shapovolov

Prof. Vladimir Shapovolov, Dean of Russia’s MGIMO University, has said that international trade is not merely an exchange of numbers, but a powerful bridge of cultural, educational, and human exchange that truly connects nations.
Delivering a lecture on “India and Russia – Trade Cooperation and Economic Possibilities” at Graphic Era University, Prof. Vladimir said that the relationship between India and Russia is not just a symbol of historical friendship, but also a strong foundation that will guide the global economy in the future. He emphasized that the possibilities of India-Russia cooperation in areas like trade, investment, energy, education, defence, and modern technology are limitless, and together both nations can set new economic benchmarks on the world stage. Through a presentation, Prof. Vladimir explained in detail to the students the current trade figures between India and Russia, investment trends, cooperation in energy and defense, and the emerging opportunities in education, information technology, and modern technologies.
On this occasion, Dean (International Affairs) Dr. D. R. Gangodkar said that Graphic Era University has established academic partnerships with many renowned universities of the world. Through these, students not only get exposure to international education but also benefit directly from global opportunities such as student exchange programs. Such opportunities prepare students to become global citizens and open new dimensions in education, research, and career.
The session was organized by the International Affairs Department of Graphic Era Deemed University. Head of the School of Management Dr. Navneet Rawat, along with Dr. Shashank Semwal, Dr. Yogesh Bhatt, Dr. Kirti, Shuchit Arora, other faculty members, and students were present on the occasion.
