The ‘Kailash Mansarovar Yatra’2026  through the Lipulekh Pass concluded today after the 44-member 10th and final batch of pilgrims crossed into Indian territory at 9.20 am, KMVN base camp officials in Dharchula said.

“A total of 477 pilgrims, including 154 women, took part in this year’s ‘Kailash Mansarovar Yatra,” said Dhan Singh Bisht, in-charge of the base camp of the nodal agency, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), at Dharchula.

“Due to the sensitive condition of the roads following the rains, we called the batch directly to the base camp. Otherwise, the pilgrims would have stayed at the Bundi camp today,” Bisht said.

The yatra, which began on July 5 this year, concluded today after attracting pilgrims from different parts of the country.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Lipulekh Pass was resumed in 1981 after being suspended earlier. It remained suspended from 2019 to 2024 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
