Dehradun, October 1. A conference of experts associated with the care and treatment of newborns will begin at Graphic Era Hospital on October 3. Medical Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Subodh Uniyal will attend the programme as the Chief Guest.
Uttarakhand NEOCON 2026 will be organised at Graphic Era Hospital on October 3 and 4. Organised by the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, the two-day programme will bring together leading neonatologists and pediatricians from across the country on a common platform to discuss important topics related to newborn care, treatment and modern medicine. Organised in collaboration with the National Neonatology Forum (NNF), Uttarakhand State Chapter, the programme will see participation from experts from India and abroad. Among them are Prof. Ashok K. Deorari, Prof. Praveen Kumar and Dr. Sanjay Patole from Australia. Executive Director, World Bank Group, Neelkanth Mishra will also participate in the programme. Some participants will also join the programme online.
Organising Secretary, Uttarakhand NEOCON 2026, Dr. Shantanu Shubham said that the programme will discuss various topics including respiratory support, neonatal resuscitation, intensive care, infections, nutrition, neurological care and neonatal emergencies. He said that a special session on ‘Team Approach to Decrease Neonatal Mortality Rate’ will also be organised.
