Golden Boy Suraj Panwar gets support from Graphic Era University to prepare for Paris  Olympics

Dehradun, Feb 14

Suraj Panwar, Uttrakhand’s promising athlete who is also known as as  ‘Golden Boy’ has been provided an assistance of Rs. Five lakh by Graphic Era University to support him for his preparations for Paris Olympics.

Suraj Panwar hailing from Dehradun has previously made the people of Uttrakhand proud on many occasions by his performances on the track in the 20 km walk event and has qualified for 2024 Paris Olympics.

Suraj has earlier qualified for World Cup twice and won the gold medal in 2018 Youth Olympics in 5000 m race. Last year, he won the gold medal for 20km walk race in National Games, held in Goa.

Wishing him best for the Olympic games, Graphic Era Group of Institutions’ Chairman Dr. Kamal Ghanshala said that Suraj is the new dawn of hope for Uttarakhand as well as for the country. He is a  student of B.B.A in Graphic Era University. “This young athlete will be given every possible assistance in his preparations for the Olympics,” said Dr. Kamal Ghashala.
