Ajay Tamta, the sitting ruling Lok Sabha MP from Almora (reserve) who has again been given from the constituency for the forthcoming general elections of 2024 has pledged to connect the interior areas of his parliamentary constituency to better road and rail links in the next 5 years if he gets elected again.
“I am thankful to party high command for expressing faith in me again and I promise to better the transport arrangements by linking it with national road and rail networks of the country,” said Tamta.
The Almora MP said that his main priority for the Almora constituency in next 5 years would be to link Bageshwar town with a rail network, get train link to hill region of Chaukhutia by expanding the rail network from Ramnagar to Chaukhutia and completing a motor road from Tanakpur to Jauljibi to give better communication links to the people residing on the bank of river Kali.” The long pending and long awaited road will be constructed on a priority basis,” promised Ajay Tamta.
The BJP candidate from Almora said that after the start of Medical College at Almora, his priority for his constituency, would be to start medical colleges at Pithoragarh, Champawat and Bageshwar also .”Besides these medical institutions at district level, the medical facilities at block level will also be strengthened,” he said.
Asked what is his vision to provide livelihood to local youths of his constituency, the BJP candidate said that he will strengthen tourism sector to generate employment for youth and Self Help Groups(SHG’s) to provide livelihood to women.”We have also plans to construct an IT hub in the constituency and strengthen ‘Manaskhand Mandir Mala’ project to strengthen religious tourism in the constituency,” said Tamta.
The Almora MP said a road link up to ‘Adi Kailash’ mountains was constructed with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and for the first time backward area of Tanakpur was linked with country’s rail network in his last 5 year’s tenure.”All the gram panchayat of Almora parliamentary constituency have now been linked with roads, there is air connectivity from Pithoragarh, Champawat and Munsiyari and border villages have now been made vibrant by making them first villages of country to provide them facilities of Infrastructure and employment with an aim to minimise migration from there. All these works happened in Almora constituency with the blessings of our Prime Minister who has given specially priority to this region,” said Tamta.
