A Journey of Hopes Begins as
New Academic Session Commences at Graphic Era Hill University
Dehradun, July 29: The campus of Graphic Era Hill University was filled with excitement, smiles, and hope as new students stepped in for the start of the academic session through the university’s induction program. It marked the students’ first step into university life.
The Induction was organized to welcome students of various academic and professional undergraduate programs such as BBA, BCA, B.Com, BJMC, BALLB, and Fashion Designing. The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony jointly conducted by Vice Chancellor Dr. Amit R. Bhatt, Registrar Dr. Dinesh Kumar Joshi, and the heads of various departments.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Amit R. Bhatt introduced the students to the university’s environment and facilities. He emphasized that Graphic Era not only provides academic excellence but also helps in shaping strong and sensitive personalities. He lauded the visionary leadership of Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, President of the Graphic Era Group of Institutions, under whose guidance countless students have turned their dreams into reality. He highlighted that students from Graphic Era consistently bring laurels to the institution on national and international platforms — be it in sports, research, startups, or exceptional placements.
To make the induction program vibrant and memorable, colorful cultural performances representing the rich heritage of Uttarakhand were presented. Additionally, an ice-breaking session was organized to help new students get comfortable with each other and the university environment. Activities such as dumb charades, quizzes, and other interactive games brought smiles to the students’ faces and filled their hearts with enthusiasm. These activities not only initiated friendly interactions among students but also helped build a warm bond between students and faculty members. This day marked not just the beginning of an academic journey, but also a symbolic farewell to school life, as students stepped toward independence and the pursuit of their dreams. Prior to this, the new B.Tech session at Graphic Era Hill University had also commenced with a formal ceremony.
The Induction program was held at the university’s Convention Centre. The event was hosted by Dr. Sargam Behl. HOD of School of Management Dr. Vishal Sagar, HOD of Agriculture Department Dr. Arvind Singh Negi, HOD of School of Computing Dr. Anupam Singh, HOD of Commerce Department Dr. Rahul Raj, HOD of School of Design Dr. Jyoti Chhabra, HOD of School of Law Dr. Vivek Goyal, and HOD of Mass Media and Communication Dr. Taha Siddiqui, along with other faculty members and students were also present at the program.
