RIMC emerges overall champions of 77th Dehradun District Athletics

The Major Chitresh Bish Memorial 77th District Athletics Competition was conducted with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at the Patiala Pavilion of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, from 08 to 09 November 2025. The two-day athletic meet witnessed outstanding participation from schools across the district, showcasing remarkable performances, team spirit, and sportsmanship.
This year’s event was jointly coordinated by the District Athletic Association and the Sports Faculty of RIMC, and was very well executed with exemplary discipline and organisational standards. RIMC cadets also delivered exceptionally strong performances across age groups.
RIMC emerged as Team Champions in the Boys Section, lifting the overall championship trophy with dominant performances across all categories. The College secured First Position in the Under-16 Boys category, First Position in the Under-18 Boys category, and also bagged First Place in the March Past event.
Among the individual achievers, Cadet Albert of RIMC was declared the Best Athlete in the Under-16 Boys category for his exceptional performances, winning Gold Medals in 60m, 100m, and Long Jump.

Speaking on the occasion, Col Rahul Agarwal, Commandant, RIMC, expressed immense pride and joy at the exemplary performances of the cadets. He said:

Winning the team championship is a tribute to the legacy of braveheart, Major Chitresh Bish and to every cadet’s dedication.”
