Uncontrolled High BP treated with radio frequency for the first time in Uttarakhand at Graphic Era Hospital

The doctors of Graphic Era Hospital have successfully treated uncontrolled BP with Radio frequency. The treatment was done with Renal Denervation Therapy.
A 79 years old patient was admitted in Graphic Era Hospital with a problem of high blood pressure. A team of specialists from the hospital treated the patient using Renal Denervation Therapy. It was for the first time that RDN therapy was successfully used in Uttarakhand. The specialist who were part of the team included Dr. Himanshu Rana and Dr. Raj Pratap Singh.
The specialists said that the patient was diagnosed with uncontrolled hypertensive for almost 10 years. Taking the seriousness of the case into account, he was treated using the Renal Denervation Therapy. This is a catheter based technology that does not harm the arteries and delivers energy to damage sympathetic nerves around kidney. In this method radio frequency is used. The doctors said that before treatment the patient had 210/110 bp with serious risks of anti hypertensives. Now the patient is recovering well with no periprocedural complications.
