Four prisoners who fled Nepalese jails caught while entering India

Four Nepalese prisoner who fled from different jails of Nepal, following Gen Z agitation in that country, were caught by Sahastra Seema Balm(SSB), the force that guards Indo- Nepal border, at Devtal border post of Jhoolaghat, when the prisoners were crossing River Kali illegally with the help of tyre tube to enter India, a press release by SSB 55th batallion said.
“The four Nepalese prisoners, caught by SSB, are, Dharmendra Chand,(25),Tark Ram Luhar (22),Suraj (24) and Asif Pahari (31), the prisoners were caught at 11 am when the SSB patrolling party was on its round along river Kali, that forms Indo- Nepal border, ” said the press note.
Out of these four prisoners, three are facing rape charges while the fourth one has been jailed for the crime of murder. Three belongs to Baitari district while the 4th one is from Kanchapur district of Nepal.
“We have kept the prisoners with us and the they are being questioned about plans of other prisoners or other criminals who are planning to cross over to India illegally,” said the press communique.
“We have informed the Nepalese authorities about it and after completing essential formalities, the nabbed prisoners will be handed over to Nepalese authorities,” said the SSB press note.
