FDP on Integrating Human Values into Education starts at Graphic Era

Dehradun, July 2

Graphic Era emphasized promoting human values through education to foster holistic personality development and character building.  A three days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on integrating education with human values began at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. Addressing the inaugural session, the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh said that while achieving success in life is important, it is even more essential to develop values in individuals. He added that the purpose of education is not only to teach people how to earn a livelihood but also how to live a meaningful life.

AICTE Resource Person Dr. Himanshu Kumar Rai said that only when human values are integrated into education can individuals become responsible, compassionate, and better citizens. He further said that education becomes truly meaningful when it brings positive changes in a person’s thoughts, behaviour, and character.

The FDP has been jointly organized by the Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell of Graphic Era Deemed  University and AICTE. The inaugural session was attended by Pro VC Dr. Santosh S. Saraf, Registrar Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, University UHV Coordinator Dr. Richa Thapliyal, along with Dr. Priyanka Rai and Mr. Kunwar Deep Narayan from AICTE, Dr. Chandra Kishore, Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Dr. Divya Venugopal, D.P. Singh and other faculty members.
