Independence gives us the responsibility to fulfil our duties: Dr Rakhi Ghanshala
Dehradun, August 15: Vice Chairperson, Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr. Rakhi Ghanshala, said that independence gives us not only rights but also the responsibility to fulfil our duties towards the nation.
After unfurling the national flag at the Graphic Era Hill University campus, Dr. Rakhi Ghanshala was addressing the Independence Day Celebration. She said that true patriotism should go beyond respect for the Tricolour and be reflected in our actions. Paying tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the country’s independence, she said that the dream of a developed and strong India can be realised only when the youth of the country connect their talent and education with nation-building. Dr. Rakhi urged the students to use knowledge as their strength and find solutions to the challenges faced by society and the country through new ideas, innovation and sincere efforts.
On the occasion, Dr. Rakhi Ghanshala announced cash prizes of Rs. 25,000 each for Team Swatantra and Team Harmonics for their patriotic song performances. In the programme, In-charge Vice Chancellor Dr. Tabassum Naqvi, Registrar Dr. Jyoti Chhabra, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students were present. The programme was hosted by Dr. Himani Binjola.
