Himalayan cultural carnival to be held at Pithoragarh

To promote unique cultural identity of Pithoragarh district, a first Himalayan cultural carnival, will be organised in Pithoragarh district in November/December months of this year. The 5 days cultural carnival will be organised at DS Bisht ground of the district, according to Pithoragarh District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgai.
Bhatgai was talking to media persons after chairing a preparatory meeting with concerned officers for the event. “The first such cultural carnival to be organised in the district, will display varied and unique local cultural of the district besides promoting local cuisine as well as trade of locally produced goods,” said the DM.
The District Magistrate said that the meeting has discussed ,title, logo, place and time of organising the event.” The administration will work towards introducing the distinct cultural traditions of this district at national level, to attract the tourists from parts of country to witness this event,” said the DM.
