Senior Aam Admi party leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was served with the local Garhwali cuisine during his door-to-door election campaign at Kotha Village in Tehri assembly constituency in Uttarakhand.

The villager served him the local barnyard millet (Koda) roti along with Gahat Daal and Finger Millet (Jhangora) kheer which was much appreciated by the Deputy CM Delhi.

Earlier, he reached Dehradun airport on Wednesday morning where he was accorded a warm welcome by co-in-charge Rajiv Chaudhary and local candidates. He then left for Tehri directly by road where he was greeted by AAP workers.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia reached the Baurari market in New Tehri where he met the shopkeepers and distributed pamphlets and appealed to the people to vote for the party. He was also delighted to know that many people were well acquainted with the party’s Model of governance in Delhi

Meanwhile, an elderly man complained to him and told him that his electricity bill was on high side and the government here has done nothing so far. Many youths who returned to Uttarakhand in lockdown said that they did not get any employment but had high expectations from the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP).

Later, speaking to the media persons,  he said that both BJP and Congress have dozen nothing for the people and the leaders from these two political parties have worked with only one agenda of catering to their own needs. He said that during this election the voters are ready to discard both these parties and bring in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to power in the state. He said that it was said that even after the sacrifices of the martyrs during separate statehood agitation the state was not on the path of development and only BP and Congress leaders benefited from it. He said that BJP and Congress have misled the people of the state and now the voters were ready to oust these two parties as they had a better option now.

He further said that we have done a lot of work after the formation of the Government in Delhi and the people here have evidence of this because many relatives of the people here live in Delhi and whenever people come from Delhi to Uttarakhand, they inform the people of Uttarakhand about the work done by the Delhi Government.

He further said that Arvind Kejriwal has done what Congress and BJP could not do in Delhi in the last 21 years. He reiterated that if it can happen in Delhi, why can’t it happen in Uttarakhand. He said that be it government schools or government hospitals, the situation was bad today.

The zero electricity bills of lakhs of families have become a possibility in Delhi so why can’t it be possible in Uttarakhand the state which is a storehouse of the power generation, he asked.

The Delhi government has worked to provide employment to 10 lakh youth in 5 years, but in Uttarakhand in 21 years, Congress and BJP have only committed corruption, not providing any employment to the youth here, he alleged.

Deputy CM Delhi  Sisodia said that Arvind Kejriwal has given 5 guarantees for Uttarakhand namely every family will receive 300 units of electricity free of cost every month, one lakh jobs will be given to the youth in the government and unless a job is given, every youth will be given unemployment allowance of Rs 5,000 per month, Uttarakhand will be redeveloped with the help of the ex-servicemen here and every retired soldier will be taken into the government service.

He appealed to all ex-servicemen to come together to strengthen the Aam Aadmi Party. He reiterated the commitment of his party of providing Rs. 1 crore to the family members of any jawan who is martyred in the line of duty. He said that the AAP government will make free pilgrimage arrangements for the people of Uttarakhand and the state will be made the spiritual capital of the country and the world. He said that Rs.1000 per month allowance will be given for women above 18 years of age. He finally called upon the workers to go door to door and inform the people of the state about AAP policies so that they can know about Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee and ensure Aam Aadmi Party victory in the upcoming elections with a huge margin soon.
