Students felicitated with high packages in placements are mostly from middle class families

Dehradun, June 6

The students of Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University, who have secured packages up to Rs. 54 Lakh were awarded cash prizes at a function held here today. While awarding those getting placements, Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala said that Graphic Era University is doing its work of enhancing and improving the overall talent of the students.

Dr. Ghanshala honoured the talented youngsters and said that in this academic session, students have secured placements in more than 250 big companies including Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Flipkart, Volvo, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Zscaler and Genpact making their University, their region and parents proud. Most of the students, securing higher packages in world’s biggest companies are from middle class families from the villages and cities of Uttarakhand, UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Haryana.

Dr. Ghanshala said that Graphic Era’s world class faculties, teach complex technologies in a simple way to their students and train them to face future challenges and competitions. As a result, the students are not only getting placements in big companies with huge packages but are also creating their identities as skilled professionals. They are also inventing new things and establishing themselves in the industry through start ups, added Ghanshala .

Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University’s 51 student from B. Tech and Computer Science were awarded  today. Riddhi Shivhare (Lucknow) who is selected in Google with a package of Rs. 54.03 Lakh said that Graphic Era has transformed her dreams into reality. Sameeksha Mishra (UP) with a package of Rs. 32.57 Lakh in Flipkart said that Graphic Era helped her in developing technical and soft skills which made her journey easy. Isha Jindal (Saharanpur) with a package of Rs. 32.5 7 Lakh in Flipkart as well, said that the facilities and opportunities provided by Graphic Era made this possible for her.

Anmol Narang (Hastinapur, Meerut) who got placed in Japanese company Morabu Hanshin said that it was only possible by the efforts of Graphic Era that he was able to fulfil his dream. The university helped in preparing for competitions and also arranged flights, making him feel blessed, he said.

In the program, students, Pawandeep Kaur, Ayush Bisht, Achintya Mishra, Aditi Dev, Aditya Bhatt, Akshat Singhal, Akshay Verma, Aman Devli, Ananya Vishnoi, Aniruddh Chauhan, Apoorva Priya, Arunima Gautam, Asit Kumar, Bhavya Agrawal were awarded with cheques worth Rs. 25,000 up to Rs. One Lakh. Earlier, students who had secured high packages were awarded at a function held on May 18, 2024. Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Placement Officer Dr. Rajesh Pokhariyal and Prof. P. A. Anand along with other officials were present in the felicitation programme.
