Krishna’s run against drug abuse

Pithoragarh, July 11

Krishna, a 15 years’ old class 10th student of a local school, was started a run of over 600 km in Uttarakhand state to awaken the youth against the use of drugs.

“A four member team including, Ajay Oli, the initiator of the campaign, will also took part in the 24 days race in the state,” a spokesperson of Ghanshyam Oli  Child Welfare Society, the organisers of the programme said.

Krishna, was flagged off by Asha Bora, principal of intermediate college, Satsiling on July 8, according to  Ajay Oli, Director of Ghanshyam Oli  Child Welfare Society (GOCWS).

During the state wide run, Krishna and his team  will meet over 30000 students and youth to campaign against drugs and will make them aware of the negative effects of drugs in one’s life.”He has been with society’s  anti drug and child welfare programmes for last 9 years and plans to take to his initiative at the national level in future,” said Ajay Oli.

Ghanshyam Oli Child Welfare Society, is working towards anti- child labour and anti -child begging campaign. It’s founder Ajay Oli has been awarded National Youth Award for his campaigns by government of India in the year 2018- 19.”We are also running anti-drug campaign from last decade to make the youth of the country aware against the fatal effects of drugs,” claimed Oli.
