‘Graph E-Thon’ begins with Interesting competition amongst youngsters of 26 states

Young innovators from 26 states have gathered to find technological solutions of different global problems. These students will give shape to their ideas by creating a prototype for two days and two night continuously.

Graphic Era has organized an interesting technological competition named Graph E-Thon. This is the second edition of this competition. Young innovators from 26 states including Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh are participating in this. 36 teams have been given problems in various categories. They have to find solutions of various states and national problems related to AI/ML, Block chain, EdTech, defence, MedTech and other cutting edge fields. The competition began today at 11 in the morning after inauguration. The arrangements for food and other requirements have been done on competition level.

In the inaugural session, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh said that In this many hours long competition students will be tested on their energy, creativity and focus along with their coding skills. This will build team spirit, ability to take challenges and awareness for problems around us. The prototypes by the students will be helpful in building a better society. Pro- Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh S. Saraf urged the students to keep environment in mind while creating the prototypes.

In this competition teams are creating unique and innovative prototypes including cost effective prosthetic limb, an augmented reality app that gives information on ayurvedic medicinal herbs, a system that increases the efficiency of solar panels, an AI based donation platform, gun shot detector system to support defence sector and an early earthquake warning device. The best prototype will be given cash prize worth 1.7 Lakh rupees. Along with this other attractive awards will also be given. Winners will get monetary help from Graphic Era for their start-ups. To encourage innovation top 10 teams will also be awarded.

Graph E-Thon is organized by Graphic Era’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in collaboration with Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University. Dean International Affairs Dr. D. R. Gangodkar, HoD of Department of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Anupam Singh, Chief Executive Officer of TBI Sarishma Dangi, Incubator Manager Harshvardhan Singh Rawat along with faculty Sushant Chamoli, Siddhant Thapliyal, Mukesh Bhandari and students were present in the inaugural session.
