Emphasis on Integrating AI with Human Intelligence at an International Conference at Graphic Era University

Experts emphasized that integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with human intelligence can help in resolving issues across various fields at an International Conference organized at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, here today. While addressing the conference today, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh said that computational technologies are being utilised for various applications. They are being used for extinguishing forest fires, improving irrigation system, monitoring crop growth, checking soil quality and food security. These sustainable technologies include Machine learning, precision farming, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, etc. He encouraged students to research on clean computing, quantum computing, h- computing, optimised software, energy efficient hardware and other sustainable technologies.

Medical Superintendent of Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. Girish Gupta said that artificial intelligence is playing an important role in the field of healthcare. AI, Machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing technologies are being used to collect data from patients, data assessment, real time diagnosis and personalized treatment of patients. These technologies have advanced to the extent that with the help of fetus programming experts can now detect potential diseases in a child even before birth. He urged the students to focus on AI research works to further enhance healthcare.

Dr. Bogdan Ghita from University of Plymouth, United Kingdom gave detailed information on artificial intelligence. Dr. Sandeep Kumar Garg from IIT Roorkee highlighted sustainable computing. They connected with the conference via online mode. A souvenir was released and 60 research papers were presented in the conference,today.

The international conference was organized by Graphic Era Deemed University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Dean Academics Dr. Santosh S. Saraf, Dean Research Dr. Bhasker Pant, HOD Dr. Devesh Pratap Singh, DRC Chairman Dr. Arun Chauhan, Dr. K. C. Mishra from IEEE UP Section, Conveners Dr. Neelam Singh and Dr. Parul Madan along with Dr. Manoj Diwakar, Dr. Ankit Vishnoi, Dr. Varsha Mittal, Dr. Pawan Kumar Mishra other faculty members and students were present in the conference. Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Mansi Sharma and Supriya Awasthi hosted the conference.
