Famous singer and songwriter Talwinder Singh Sidhu arrived at Graphic Era Deemed University this evening to perform. Students had started gathering on the ground well before the program began to listen to him. As soon as he stepped onto the stage, the entire campus transformed into a live concert-like atmosphere, where with every beat, the excitement and noise of the students kept rising continuously. Talwinder opened with his hit track “Dhundhla,” instantly charging up the atmosphere—
“Sab kuchh dhundhla hai, dhundhla hai, main saare ye gham bhula ke jhoom raha, sab kuchh dhundhla hai, dhundhla, main saari ye dhun bhula ke ghoom raha…”
As soon as the first beat of this track played, thousands of students began to groove together and the energy level suddenly multiplied.
After this, Talwinder shifted the vibe into a smooth and flowing mood with his track “Pal Pal”—
“Pal-pal jeena muhaal mera tere bina, ye saare nashe bekaar teri aankhon ke siwa, ghar nahi jaata, main baahar, rehta tera intezaar, mere khwabon mein aana karke solah singaar…”
Then with “Main Tera Hoya, sambhaal le tu mainu mainu, meri na hoi, khyaal aune tainu tainu…” students were seen connecting with him, as if everyone was lost in the same rhythm. As soon as Talwinder sang,
“Tere ishq da jaam haseen ae, subah haseen meri shaam haseen ae, eh bematlab zindagi, jadon di tere naam haseen ae,”
a different level of craze and atmosphere could be seen among the students.
In his unique style, with artistic designs on his face, Talwinder himself danced energetically on stage. On students’ requests, he also performed several more songs of their choice.
