SUCI (C) founder comrade Shibdas Ghosh remembered with call to continue his fight

Srinagar Garhwal, Aug 9

The 50th memorial Day of Comrade Shibdas Ghosh, a renowned Marxist thinker and founding General Secretary of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) [SUCI(C)], was solemnly observed in a befitting manner by the SUCI(C) Uttarakhand State Unit at Srinagar,today.

​Presided over by senior party leader Comrade Harinder Bist and conducted by Comrade Reshma Panwar, the commemorative gathering brought together party members, workers, and local citizens to honor Comrade Ghosh’s life and enduring ideological contributions.

​Addressing the assembly as the main speaker, Dr. Ashok Samanta, Central Committee Member of SUCI(C), highlighted Comrade Shibdas Ghosh’s revolutionary legacy, emphasizing his pivotal involvement in India’s freedom struggle during the glorious phase of the independence movement.

​Former Lok Sabha member Dr. Tarun Mandal addressed the present socio-economic climate, critiquing the rampant capitalist exploitation in the country. He noted that such exploitative policies continue to destroy the daily lives, livelihoods, and well-being of the common people.

​Bringing the discussion to local and national youth struggles, Mukesh Semwal, Uttarakhand State Coordinator of SUCI(C), spoke on the historic movement at Jantar Mantar. He stated that the unified movement successfully challenged and exposed the central government’s irresponsible handling of critical issues affecting students and the youth.

​The event concluded with a call to uphold the revolutionary ideals of Comrade Shibdas Ghosh in the ongoing struggle against capitalist exploitation and for the rights of the working class.
