Graphic Era in Top 3 in Two Categories at CII
Dehradun, September 29. Graphic Era has made its mark at the nationally organised CII Design Excellence Awards 2026. Two projects from Graphic Era Hill University have secured a place in the Top 3 in their respective categories.
The CII Design Excellence Awards, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), evaluated outstanding and innovative design work from across the country in various fields. Following multiple stages of review, jury-level discussions and Grand Jury evaluation, both projects from Graphic Era Hill University were selected among the Top 3 category winners in their respective categories.
Fashion Design student Harpreet Kaur’s project, ‘Beyond Clothing: A Sensory-Responsive Apparel for Children with ASD’, was selected among the Top 3 in the ‘Design for Social Impact’ category. Meanwhile, Srishti Negi’s project, ‘From Mountain Fibre to Modern Form: A Jacquard Knit Exploration in Himalayan Nettle’, secured a place in the Top 3 in the ‘Textile & Apparel Design – Academic’ category.
Harpreet Kaur’s project focuses on developing specialised apparel according to the sensory needs of children with autism, while Srishti Negi’s project explores the use of Himalayan nettle fibre in contemporary textile design through jacquard knit technology. Both projects were developed under the mentorship of Dr. Jyoti Chhabra, Head of the Department of Fashion Design. The projects will be awarded at a programme to be held in Bengaluru.
