Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced start of civil flights from Naini-Saini airport of Pithoragarh will be resumed soon.” As the trials of a 19 seater aircraft has been done successfully, the air services from here will start soon after the essential formalities are completed,” said the Chief Minister. He was addressing a public rally after completing a kilometer long road show during a visit to Pithoragarh today.

The Chief Minister further said that his cabinet has given sanction for over 1000 posts for Pithoragarh Medical College that would be operational soon.”After Almora, the medical College in Pithoragarh will give specialised medical facilities to poor people of this border district,” he added.

The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his concerns towards the development of Uttarakhand state and said that his visit to Jolingkong and ‘Adi Kailash’ will help religious tourism in Kumaon run on the pattern of ‘Chardham yatra’ in Garhwal . He further said that his government has freed 5000 acres of encroached land from Land Jehad.

After arriving at the district headquarter today afternoon,Dhami held a kilometer long road show from SS Waldia stadium to DS Bisht ground and inaugurated a mega Nari Shakti Mahotsava, titled “Didi Beni Mahotsava’ at Dev Singh Bisht ground,here.

“The Chief Minister landed at Surendra Singh Waldia stadium of district headquarter at 12.00 noon from where he took a open vehicle for road show up to DS Bisht ground as thousands of people, men women and children had gathered on both the side of the road to greet the Chief Minister,” a state information department press release said.

During his visit Chief Minister also laid down foundation stones of various projects worth Rs 13445.69 lakh, and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 8282.53 lakh. He also took part in amass cleaning programe, held at Chatkesear temple near the town and flew back to Dehradun from there at 3.20 pm.
