Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay released a newly published poetry books of Alok Singh ‘Ha Main Ek Kutta Hoon’, Suman Mohini’s ‘Yaadon Ki Parchhaiyan’, Hari Prakash Gupta’s ‘Ek Shaam Thahri Si’ written in Hindi at a function held at Lucknow. He congratulated the poets and gave best wishes for their newly published books.
In his address he recited his poem, ‘as dreams grow/so does our life/I would say/weave, nurture and grow the dreams/with all your dedication and hard work/because dreams are the future/mine and yours/ Take the support of others/ to fulfil your dreams/ and give your support to others/ to fulfil their dreams/ because cooperation is the basis of life/ without cooperation, we all would not have come into existence/ nor would there have been so much development and expansion’.
Padma Shri Dr. Sanjay also recited his poem, and said that poetry has a definite purpose that ‘to penetrate into the consciousness of others/influence the mentality of others/and transform the thinking of others/if poetry could not do this then where is poetry? Rather, it is a meaningless creation’.
