The specialists at Graphic Era Hospital successfully carried out another complex and challenging surgery. Multiple uterine fibroids, with a total weight of around 4.5 kilograms, were removed from a woman’s body, providing her significant relief.
The 40 years old woman had been suffering for a long time from an enlarging abdomen, excessive menstrual bleeding, weakness, back pain, and difficulty in performing daily activities. Over time, her abdomen increased abnormally, and continuous blood loss and physical weakness had severely affected her health.
During detailed examinations, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tests at Graphic Era Hospital, doctors found multiple large fibroids in her uterus. Due to these fibroids, the uterus had enlarged significantly and was exerting pressure on surrounding organs.
Considering the seriousness of the condition, a team of specialists led by gynaecologists Dr. Divya Punetha and Dr. Annet Thatal successfully performed the complex surgery. During the procedure, multiple fibroids with a combined weight of around 4.5 kilograms, along with the enlarged uterus, were safely removed. Following the surgery, the patient is stable and recovering rapidly.
