Exhibition of Constitution-Inspired Paintings at Graphic Era

Padma Shri awardee folk singer Dr. Madhuri Barthwal said that Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is not merely an idea but the essence of the Indian way of life, inspiring the world to regard humanity as one family.
She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of “Sauhard,” an exhibition of Constitution-inspired paintings, as the Chief Guest at Graphic Era Hill University today. Dr. Barthwal said that the paintings featured in the Constitution, along with the country’s folk arts, vividly represent India’s cultural heritage. She added that when art and culture come together, they spread the message of harmony, sensitivity, and unity in society.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tabassum Naqvi said that the Constitution-inspired paintings bring alive India’s historical journey and national consciousness. She said that such exhibitions not only kindle curiosity among students but also inspire them to understand their country in greater depth.
State President of Sanskar Bharati, Uttarakhand, and Dehradun Cantonment MLA Mrs. Savita Kapoor said that India’s culture and knowledge tradition are its greatest identity. The youth can play a vital role in building Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat by staying connected to their culture and values. State Working President of Sanskar Bharati, Uttarakhand, Dr. Girish Chandra Sharma also addressed the gathering. A total of 98 paintings were displayed at the Sauhard exhibition.
The exhibition was jointly organized by the Department of Visual Arts, Graphic Era Hill University, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), and Sanskar Bharati.
