Graphic Era University giving mystical vibes turned into magical university like Hogwarts on the magical theme of Harry Potter movie during its annual cultural festival ‘Grafest 23’, here today.
Graphic Era Group of Institutions’ Vice Chairperson Rakhi Ghanshala along with Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh and Dr. Sanjay Jasola inaugurated ‘Grafest 23’ by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The students enjoyed the event with great enthusiasm and excitement having immersed themselves in their favourite movie themes as the university was decorated with platforms like ‘Platform 9 ¾’, ‘Hagrid’s hut’, ‘Aragog spider’ and ‘Hogwarts Express’. . Photobooth based on the famous character Dobby was flooded by the students for photographs.
On this occasion, a cultural competition was organised between Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University’s Dehradun, Bhimtal and Haldwani campuses in singing, dancing and band war. Hill University’s Devasthali performed Garhwali dance, Himashu and Paramjeet performed on western songs, Deemed University’s Bhagra team danced on dhol beats , Gifty performed on a western song, Bhimtal campus’ Himgiri Group presented a Kumaoni song, Rahul Kumar and Haldwani campus’ G- Elite performed western dance while Kansha’s Kumaoni song compelled youngsters to dance along.
Officials, faculty members and thousands of students from all the four campuses were participated in the colourful event.
